Why dentures

Replace several teeth at once

Dentures restore the look and function of multiple missing teeth in one removable appliance, the least invasive and most economical way to replace several teeth, with fixed alternatives available where they suit you better.
  • Many teeth, one appliance

A denture replaces several missing teeth at once, restoring your bite, your speech, and the support your lips and cheeks need.

  • Less invasive, lower cost

No surgery and a lower fee than fixed options, with a choice of materials to suit comfort, strength and budget.

  • Made to fit you

Acrylic, flexible Valplast, or thin cobalt-chrome, we match the material to your mouth, not a one-size approach.

Straight talk

The trade-off, honestly

Dentures are removable and sit on the gum, so the ridge underneath gradually resorbs over years and a reline or remake is needed in time. Fixed alternatives, implants or a bridge, avoid that but cost more and are more involved. We lay out the honest pros and cons.
What it costs

Clear pricing, in writing

Every quote is itemised and given to you in writing before treatment begins, with no surprise charges, nothing added at the chair, and no obligation to go ahead. NHS and private options sit side by side. The full fee schedule is on our fees and finance page.

Questions

Denture FAQs

Which material should I choose?

Acrylic is economical and easy to adjust; flexible Valplast avoids visible clasps on partials; cobalt-chrome is thin and strong. We advise per case.

How long do they take to make?

A new denture takes several appointments and moulds over a few weeks, as we refine the fit and bite before the final fit.

Will they feel loose?

New dentures take a little getting used to, and some movement is normal at first. Implants can anchor a denture if looseness persists.

Can I eat normally?

Most foods, yes, with practice. Start with softer foods and smaller pieces while you adjust.
