A single implant fee covers everything from the consultation through to the final crown. No staged add-ons, no surprise lab fees.
What Is a Dental Implant?
A dental implant is a small titanium fixture that takes the place of the missing tooth root.

The fixture is placed into the jaw bone under local anaesthetic, then left to heal for several months while the surrounding bone grows around and bonds to the titanium surface. Once integration is complete, a custom-made crown is attached on top. The result looks, feels, and functions like a natural tooth.
The strength of an implant comes from this bone fusion. A successful implant can carry the same biting forces as a healthy natural tooth, which is why patients eat normally on implants and why properly placed implants routinely last 20 years and beyond.

We deliver implant treatment across Minti Dental Group, with surgical placement carried out by clinicians who hold postgraduate qualifications in implant dentistry.

Where a case calls for detailed 3D planning, we arrange a CBCT scan, which is standard for complex cases and any case needing bone grafting.
We use Straumann and Neodent implant systems. Your dentist will explain which system is suitable for your case. You can have implant treatment at our Harlow practices.
The Implant Pathway
A typical single implant runs over four to seven months from consultation to final crown.
Consultation and assessment
Examination, X-rays, and a CBCT 3D scan if indicated. We confirm bone availability, identify any preparation work needed, and produce a written plan with timeline and cost.
Surgical placement
A 60 to 90 minute appointment under local anaesthetic. You go home the same day and most patients return to work the next day.
Integration
Three to six months while the bone fuses to the implant. We see you at one week, six weeks, and three months for healing reviews. You wear a temporary tooth or denture if the gap is visible.
Crown fitting
Once integration is confirmed, we take impressions and the laboratory produces the final crown. A short fitting appointment two to three weeks later attaches the abutment and crown, and you leave with a fully functional tooth.
When Implants Are Not the Right Answer
We do not recommend implants for every missing-tooth situation. The honest alternatives are a bridge (faster, no surgery, but it involves preparing the adjacent teeth) or dentures (lower cost, removable, useful for multiple missing teeth). Cases involving uncontrolled diabetes, current bisphosphonate therapy, heavy smoking, or insufficient bone without willingness to graft are usually better served by an alternative or specialist referral.
We discuss alternatives at every implant consultation and write them into the treatment plan.

The single implant fee includes consultation, surgical placement, all healing reviews, the abutment, and the final crown.

Bone grafting (where required) and CBCT scans (if needed) are quoted separately. Multi-tooth and full-arch options are quoted after consultation because the cost depends on bone availability and the number of implants needed.
Implant treatment qualifies for finance over up to 60 months through a regulated third-party provider.
NHS implants are reserved for narrow medical situations such as after head and neck cancer treatment. Routine implant work is private only.
