Children's FAQs
When should my child first visit?
From around the first tooth or first birthday. Early visits are about getting comfortable, not treatment.
Is it really free?
Yes. NHS dental care is free for under-18s, and under-19s in full-time education, including check-ups, X-rays, fluoride, sealants, fillings and extractions.
What if my child is nervous?
We work entirely at their pace, with short, friendly visits and no pressure. Many children just sit and count their teeth at first.
How do I prevent decay at home?
Brush twice daily with a fluoride toothpaste, limit sugary snacks and drinks, and keep up six-monthly visits. We coach you and your child at each appointment.
Do you place fissure sealants?
Yes, where they help. Sealants are a quick, painless way to protect the grooved biting surfaces of new adult molars.
