Dental crowns
A custom cap that fits over a damaged tooth to restore its strength and appearance, done well, lasting 15 to 20 years.
Rebuild a tooth that's been through a lot
Strength where it's needed
A crown takes over the load a cracked or heavily filled tooth can no longer carry, protecting it from breaking further.
A natural look
All-ceramic crowns let light through like a real tooth, so a front crown blends in rather than standing out.
Built to last
A well-made, well-maintained crown routinely lasts 15 to 20 years, longer with good hygiene.

Crown FAQs
How long do crowns last?
Done well and looked after, 15 to 20 years is normal, and often longer. Good hygiene and not grinding help them last.
Which material is best?
All-ceramic for a natural look (front teeth especially), porcelain-bonded-to-metal for durability on back teeth, gold for longevity. We match it to the tooth.
How many appointments?
Usually two, two to three weeks apart, while the lab makes your crown.
Do I need a crown after a root canal?
Usually, yes. A root-treated tooth is more brittle, and a crown protects it from fracture.
