Composite bonding
The single-visit, no-drilling way to repair a chip, close a small gap, or even out a tooth, sculpted by hand from tooth-coloured resin.
The conservative way to fix a chip
No drilling, nothing removed
Resin is added to the tooth rather than enamel ground away, so bonding is reversible and the most conservative cosmetic fix there is.
Finished in one visit
Most single-tooth bonding takes 30 to 60 minutes, usually with no anaesthetic, shaped and polished there and then.
Often the right first step
Because nothing is permanently prepared, you can always do more later. Bonding keeps your options open before any talk of veneers or crowns.

Bonding FAQs
Does bonding damage the tooth?
No. Unlike veneers or crowns, bonding adds material to the tooth rather than removing healthy enamel, so it can be adjusted or removed later.
Will it match my other teeth?
Yes. The resin is shade-matched and built up in layers to blend in. If you plan to whiten, do that first so we match to the final colour.
How long does it last?
Five to seven years on average before a refresh, longer with good care. Top-ups are quick and inexpensive.
Is it painful?
Rarely. There is usually no drilling and no anaesthetic, so most people feel nothing during the appointment.
Bonding or veneers?
Bonding for a single chip or gap; veneers where several teeth need shape, alignment and colour changed together. We tell you honestly which fits.
