Complaints

If something has not met your expectations, please tell us. We take every concern seriously and use it to improve.

Raising a concern

How to make a complaint

You can raise a complaint in person, by telephone, or in writing. We will not treat you any differently for raising one, and it will never affect your care. In the first instance, please contact our Practice Manager, who is responsible for handling complaints.

What happens next

How we handle your complaint

Step 1

We acknowledge

We acknowledge your complaint within three working days and explain how we will look into it.

Step 2

We investigate

We aim to investigate fully and give you a written response within ten working days.

Step 3

We keep you informed

If we need longer, for example because a clinician involved in your care is away, we explain why and keep you updated until the matter is resolved.

Independent review

If you are not satisfied with our response

If you are unhappy with our response, you can ask an independent body to review your complaint. Which one depends on the type of treatment you received.

NHS treatment

Contact NHS England or your local Integrated Care Board (ICB). If you remain unhappy after their review, the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman can consider your case at ombudsman.org.uk.

Private treatment

The Dental Complaints Service offers a free, impartial service for private dental care. Call 020 8253 0800 or visit dentalcomplaints.org.uk.

Professional conduct

To raise a concern about a dental professional's conduct, contact the General Dental Council at 37 Wimpole Street, London W1G 8DQ, on 020 7167 6000, or at gdc-uk.org.

If your concern is about how we have handled your personal information, please see our Privacy Policy, or contact the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. This page was last updated on 26 June 2026.

We would rather put it right

If something is wrong, tell us first and give us the chance to fix it. You can call the practice nearest you or message us through the contact page.
