A Little Fairy Magic
Dear Emma,
Last night, just as the moon rose above the rooftops and the last little lights went out, a silver envelope arrived at my palace in the Fairy Kingdom. It was carried by a very tired butterfly and sealed with a golden star. Across the front, in the neatest handwriting, was one very special name: Emma. Naturally, I opened it straight away!
Inside was wonderful news. I had heard all about you Helped her little brother learn to ride his bike. I read the message twice, because stories like yours are my favourite kind of magic. You might not realise it, but the lovely things you do can make somebody else's day brighter, and that is far more precious than a chest full of fairy gold.
I gathered the fairies beside the wishing tree, and we all agreed that you deserved a special letter. One fairy rang the little silver bell, another scattered a handful of stardust, and I wrote your name in our Book of Wonderful Deeds. It is a very important book, and there is now a whole page sparkling just for you.
So remember, Emma: you never have to be perfect to be wonderful. Keep trying new things, helping when you can, and sharing your lovely smile with the world. I will be cheering you on, even on the days when the magic feels a little harder to find. And here is one little secret from my fairy book: brush your teeth twice a day, once in the morning and again before bed, with a grown-up helping if you need it. That helps keep your wonderful smile ready for all your next adventures.
